gyaaahhh

Bah. It was worth a shot.

It’s not looking like I’m going to have any of the stuff I wanted to have in the IGF version of the game – although the game is playable from beginning to end, teleporting around works and quite a few of the important cutscenes are in place, it’s 5am and a major feature, saving – something which I just added for the first time today – is completely broken. And broken in some intricate flash specific way that I’m not going be able to fix tonight with any kind of certainty! (I’ve also taken far too many shortcuts trying to get this out in time, and I’m not happy submitting it like this – there’s far too much rushed placeholder dialogue…)

Not a big deal though! Instead, I’m just going to submit the Eurogamer Expo version.

Night!

Gee, I know that kind of stress. Cry it out or something. The other demo is good enough, I’m sure, so don’t sweat it, you’ll do fine.

I’m was under the impression you could update the build past the deadline. The only issue is judges playing the first build before you’ve submitted an updated version, which doesn’t sound like much of an issue at all given you’re happy with the Eurogamer Expo one. I’d say you’ve got a few days, if you want, provided I’m not completely wrong.

    Oh dear.

I just read all the previous posts here and I must say that I admire you and what you do. I totally love some of your older games and have been waiting for VVVVVV for weeks or even months now. I had no idea you’re doing it full-time. Well, even if you had a job, I surely would and will support your move to shareware. The thing is that I don’t have Paypal account, actually I don’t have credit card ^_^ (I know it sounds weird but I live in Poland and debit cards are much more popular here, but you can’t have Paypal account with a debit card `-_-) but I’ll try to fix it soon! So of course I’m very happy with your approach to VVVVVV and I’m sure it’s gonna be an awesome game ;D

Good luck Terry and count me in as a supporter! (at least spiritually at this moment, will try to get more material soon ;D)

Nathanel, I’m pretty sure you can link a debit card to Paypal… though there may be some issue with the type of debit card you have, maybe.

I’m sure ANY bank can provide you with a credit card if you asked them, no matter if they’re popular or not.

Paypal can link directly to a bank account.

Oh thanks for the info guys, indeed, Paypal now allows to link their account with bank account instead of credit card.

Terry, you can be expecting some funny amount of USD converted from PLN soon 🙂

Yeah, I think you can update past the deadline, fingers crossed anyway! In any case, I’m fairly happy with the eurogamer version so it’s not a big deal… Thanks 🙂

Nathanel: Thanks for going to so much trouble – I’ve sent you an email!
