VVVVVV, Beta One

VVVVVV hit a really important milestone last night. Its first beta. I sent it out to all the donors with beta access, but there were a few technical problems and some of the emails weren’t sent originally. So if you haven’t gotten an email yet, get in touch and I’ll sort you out!

I’ve been so exhausted today that I can barely keep my eyes open. My body’s reacting like this monolithic project is finally finished, but it’s not. There’s still a final stretch to go before it’s done…

Has anyone colected any trinkets at the red level? ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Magnus on November 15th, 2009

I’ve collected them all. The “doing things the hard way” has become EASY, and a fun pasttime, after doing it many times.

Just as expected, the game is made of utter awesome. Congratulations, Mr. Cavanagh! ๐Ÿ˜€

… Now I’m even more anxious for the final product. ๐Ÿ™

I’m making a poor beta tester, because after seeing the first incomplete part I just didn’t want to go on without experiencing the way that our artist really wants it to be experienced ๐Ÿ™‚

This just in from The Department of the Internet:

And Alkard wins the “Most hilariously uninformed and angry comment of the moment” award. Unfortunately due to the high volume of top-notch competition, we’re forced to mint these faster than the US mints nickels, so they’ve become completely devalued. Nevertheless, congratulations to the man on his accomplishment!

Terry, When will you EVER make another beta version of VVVVVV?! Sorry! I’m screaming because I’m your biggest fan!

  14. Terry on January 10th, 2016

I’m confused – the game has been out for six years? Why would I do another beta?

  15. Mario&Luigi VS. Koopa on January 14th, 2016

Terry, You are an amazing man. Except for one thing. VVVVVV is copyrighted. And it’s music? HOW THE HECK AM I SUPPOSED TO MAKE REMIXES FOR THE WII U VERSION?!

  16. Terry on January 14th, 2016

    What Wii U version?

  17. Mario&Luigi VS. Koopa on January 30th, 2016

You should know! I heard Nicalis has made VVVVVV for the Nintendo 3DS. So why not me make it for Wii U? Oh wait! I know! It. Is. Pure copyrighted.

    No response… Meh. Pretty silent.
