This is one of two games I worked on at last weekend’s big game jam here in Cambridge – it’s a collaboration with Stephen Lavelle, Jasper Byrne and Tom Morgan-Jones.
It’s kinda cool to see this finished, because I’ve had it hanging around in one form or another since last summer. Originally it was a KOTM game about an assassin who spent all his money on designer furniture, and it was called “Killing Spree”. (It was the game about interior decorating I was referring to here)
(As for the other jam game I worked on last weekend, I’ll talk about it very soon! It’s been a while since I posted anything, so I’ll try to catchup this weekend.)
Haha, yep, I’ve been busy. https://distractionware.com/blog/category/complete-games/
This is by far one of my most favorite indie games of all tim , it’s so simple and yet so fascinating . I am impressed that you boiled down purchasing stocks and the super capitalist mindset of buying things to stay with the fashion to it’s most basic point and yet still created a fun and interesting experience. I have beaten it twice and would put this game up their with the likes of ” Papers Please!” as one of my favorite games! thanks for developi g it !
Wat is action
idk
Dear Mr Cavanagh.
This is one of my favorite videogames of all time.
I remembered it even after all these years (and had to look it up when this – surely parodic – music video reminded me of the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyB_VvDOvWg)
Anyway, I just wanted to show you some kind of gratitude. And just my opinion here but the game could be cool to see in a remastered and expanded version on Steam. The concept is really funny. You nailed it.
(When I go on the game’s page, it asks me to install Flash… so this gem seems to be unplayable/lost which is kind of bad in my opinion)
