VVVVVV / VVVVVV In The best Gamers Review
« on: July 29, 2011, 04:36:21 PM »
The best Gamers are a group of trolls who do fake reviews for games but the reviews are actually pretty funny and a lot of the time reference what the fans thing. In there latest review of rolling ranch VVVVVV is mentioned at around 4:13 in a pretty funny way being how stupid it sounds. I know its nothing amazing i just think its pretty funny.

:viridian: Prize for the Reckless is easy i thought. I developed a strategy for the first and second stage and the third one just took skill.

After an hour and 500 Deaths i finally got the Vidi Vici Vini thing. What is weird is from what i heard the next hardest Trinket is the one after. (The one where you have to go past lots of levels without getting a checkpoint.) Near the end of the Vidi one my right hand was twitching and felt half dead lol. Anyone else have any experiences like this?

This is one of my favourite levels. But the level "We must perform a  Geelfakriug" (One of the first levels in the  Abandon hope section) is impossible. I'm not just saying that because its hard. I tested it in level editor with no enemy or spikes (apart from the top) and no matter how much you hold left you will ALWAYS land on the spikes on the top. Apart from that great level and i hope to one day finish it :).

I liked it but i thought some bits were two easy. I died a lot on the first one ( The Bounce one) but i aced the other two without dying. But i love the style of your levels and i hope to see a sequel.

VVVVVV Levels / Kaizo Viridian
« on: July 29, 2011, 07:09:38 AM »
This map may seem rushed at some bits. And you are right. I accidently changed how much levels there were and it removed quite a bit. But it does what it says on the Tin. Kaizo Viridian is supposed to be a hard map. It is supposed to be impossible. So i made a set of rules. In almost every level there has to be a check point. Because anyone can make a impossible level just take out the checkpoints. I'm saving my story driven map until i learn scripting a little better (When the tutorial comes out) So for now just enjoy the challenge. I don't reccomend doing this all at once. And don't get angry if you can't complete it. Just keep coming back to it every once in a while and eventually you will get it. No pictures at the moment but there will be some soon.

Good luck. :). Some bits are almost impossible but some bits are easy. I'm not going to start the story driven level i have planned until i know how to script fully :).

Ok. Overall nice level. I got to the bit with the girl but gave up as that dissolve bit was hard lol. Speaking of hard i'm making Kaizo Viridian!

I ran into another glitch after saving Mario. I went back down into the room he was in and some text got frozen on the screen and pressing action does nothing. No ideas how to solve this one :/. I will start from chapter 2 although so hopefully it will be ok.

Ok every level i play is glitched now even the campaign cutscenes. Every level has those four ghost men. And i can't move. Hmph.

EDIT: I reinstalled and played the level again and the exact same thing happened once i got the Crewmate :/.

I got the first crew member (The one where you have to disable the Gravity lines) and once i had got it Captain Viridian said a few lines of dialouge then refused to move. I decided to save and come back and see if that helped and came back to see this...   http://i.imgur.com/Obrow.png

I don't mind as i'm actually pretty good at VVVVVV and got through the first levels pretty easily so i will just restart and go back to that spot. Just pointing it out to you in case you can fix it. I think it had something to do with the "Congratulations you saved a Crewmate" Dialouge overlapping the "Blue smiled" dialouge.
