VVVVVV / Found hidden ASCII art!

I was messing around, trying to get glc (similar to fraps, but for Linux) to capture VVVVVV. (if anyone could help me with this, it would be appreciated, .glc files always only turn out to be 95 bytes).

I found that if you try to run the 32-bit version in the terminal, it will output some nice ASCII art of  :viridian:, and then segfault  >:(.

VVVVVV / Press enter to explode!

Yeah, been searching through the executable (linux), and found this seemingly unknown string: "Press ENTER to explode". I found it in the same place as the "Press ENTER to talk to Violet" string. So... any idea what this string is for?

VVVVVV / Internal Scripting

I am thinking of making a level, but before I start I need to know some things:

  • If used correctly, is internal scripting allowed/recommended?
  • If so, how would I use it?
  • Is it likely to get patched in the future?

I'm relatively new to VVVVVV's level editing feature, in case you were wondering.
