VVVVVV / Re: VVVVVV forgotten?

Sadly, the buzz from VVVVVV is over. :victoria:

When it got released with the Humble Indie Bundle, it was a huge hit - everyone wanted it. When people got hold of the level editor, things really heated up. It was so good that Terry HAD to release 2.1. But after that, the forum began to slowly stop. Many people who used to be well-known on this forum are now gone, returned back to their lives. You guys are the late catchers. VVVVVV is old now.

Maybe it'll make a comeback. Maybe not. Who knows?

Not exactly, PJBottomz if you can remember that "some scripting commands" topic, one of the raw coding functions I tried was "finalmode(x,x)," and when i enabled that, it turned the room into an 'all-around' warp room (the one with the squares pulsating outwards in all directions) named "outer space."
Oh yeah, I remember that...

I actually made half of a parody level which looked like it was made by a 5-year-old, with floating spikes, useless gravlines and single-width walls. Ended it with a section entitled 'Made by PJ' :P
That's horrible. How could you do that to me? :victoria:

(incredulously long quote of my old post)
I think this one didn't forget :P
That was probably the high-point of my reviewing career. :vermillion:

There must be! Some one can just not advance the text and continuously fall. If there wasn't infinite, then we'd fall back into one of the worlds.

:vitellary:Science, bitch.

I remember it was a bad idea to put ANY single tile/floatting spike, because your reaction was a bit special...

Ah, good times. My days of screaming at improper tilers were ones best not forgotten. :vermillion:

VVVVVV / Re: 2.2, ever?
« on: May 05, 2012, 07:06:22 AM »
I completely forgot about that post. :verdigris:

Oh well. 2.1 is still pretty good, so no worries.

That, or the forums have pretty much shriveled and died.

Ugh... making VVVVVV levels just isn't that much fun anymore. Especially not when using Direct mode.

It's gotten difficult, and all the good ideas have long since been taken.

Terry also told he was making VVVVVV levels: is he still working on these? (he told it in this post:

That post was INCREDIBLY old. That was back in 2011. He's already since released 2.1

Even though it appears that the initial buzz from VVVVVV's release is over, are you ever planning on releasing 2.2? I was so looking forward to some of the things you promised.

(And I'd appreciate a version without the pause screen, still. ;))

It's so weird how we can realize that we were so mean back then. :-[

I was incredibly rude in 2011. :o

It does kind of suck that the forums died. :(

I'm guessing all the "original people" have left. Terry, do you even work on VVVVVV now?

I miss my old friends.

:vermillion:We'll be back.

I really like the potential here.

Since you can't shift colors what about having Viri and Dian have different faces? One could have the happy face and the other could have the sad face, that way you'll always know who you're using.

Any progress?

Very good idea! No, there has been 0 progress. I've pretty much dropped off the VVVVVV map for Minecraft, unfortunately.

But, I'm back, and might start working on this again! ;)

Other a few graphical annoyances that only bug me due to my OCD, this looks nice! :viridian: You're also very good at graphical design.

If you're having trouble with scripting, I'd be more than happy to help you with it. I was originally considered a "Scripting God" on here, but I'm sure that some one's replaced me by now. ::)
