After all these years, finally...

It's time to visit Dimension ZYX again...

OK, as you understand now, this level is a sequel to Dimension ZYX. And it will be awesome!

WARNING: There is an OC in this level. Which is a secret you will find out by yourself.

Not much to say, really. Just... ENJOY! And leave comments!

You set up the mystery really well, so good job with that!  I also liked The Room (even if it reminded me of the Tommy Wissaeu film).  It really sets up anticipation and builds tension for what's ahead.

Now, on to level design.  Unfortunately, here's where it falters; mostly from the red The Shortcut room that Unquote here posted.  You see, it's too difficult—especially for the first level—so it's not satisfying to complete.  There's also some trial-and-error gameplay in it, as the top section leads to a spike-laden dead end.  Another thing I'm not too fond of is The Tunnel, because it feels like another muscle memorization segment, like Doing Things The Hard Way; it works fine for an optional trinket, but not for a section mandatory to complete the game.

On the mystery green guy cutscene: I think you should scrap the part where you see Viridian fly out of the window, since it just doesn't look that great, and players can easily imagine it.  Instead, you should use that level space to smooth out the claw part, since that's more interesting.  Another thing, I love the sound effect you chose for their squeaks, since it sets up this almost snake-like voice.

Yes, and it's easy.
No, it was so frustrating that it brought back unpleasant memories of practicing music scales (I'm a mostly self-taught composer and singer, but still shudder at the thought of picking up an instrument again).  Clearly far too hard; I gave up.  The reason is simply that you have to do so much complex, intricate manoeuvering in one go.

Replacing one of the crumbling platforms with a solid one, and adding a checkpoint there, makes the room much more reasonable.  I attach a screenshot of my version, in which I used Direct Mode to make it stand out.  Do remember that putting a checkpoint on a crumbling platform risks crashing the game if :viridian: respawns there too many times.

The rest of the beta is visually brilliant, and it's a shame that I had to use the editor to see any of it.
