Edge Games

Grrrr, Terry!  :vitellary:
This is nuts.  I almost want to say it's more difficult than Doing Things the Hard Way.
I WILL solve it!
I WILL unlock whatever happens with all 20 trinkets!

Edge Games is a very difficult room. Took me a long time to figure that one out. It's more of a puzzle than DTTHW, but it shouldn't take as long.

It's not only about how fast you flip, but when.

I finished Edge Games right after DTTHW, it took me about 100 deaths (DTTHW took about 180). Its' like DC said... Its' all about timing. The patterns aren't hard to memorize and once you get it, it clicks. Best of luck.

Edge Games was the hardest thing for me when I played it in the beta.  I think I got DTTHW before that.  Nasty little trick.

I figured out the trick accidentally by freaking out and flipping at *just* the right times.  :verdigris:

First time through, I thought the room name implied the solution, so I was trying to play with the collision detection around the edges. I died maybe 200 times or so but did manage to make it to the top level. Wasn't able to get the trinket without going for the comparatively Zen-like real solution.

Oh christ, you mean I've been doing it the hard way all this time. I wondered why everybody else was calling DTTHW the hardest one to get...

(No, don't tell me yet, I'm going to go back and try again)

Shoof!  I did it!
I was trying like Applekid did and I was playing with the collision detection thinking the room name implied that was how it was to be solved.

Oh no, I mean that was my problem.  I couldn't solve it like that.  I ended up solving it like the others with zen-like movements or such.  Just jumping really fast at the appropriate moments.

What excatly is the right way? I tried to solve this one in so many different ways. I dont really know how i got it. When i finally bet it i didnt really did it thinking about it. My hands just moved as they wanted and it turned out to be the right timing.

You jump in between the pairs of fish as they move, and after doing that up/down a bit you get clear for a bit and can move to the next platforms.
