I know I keep saying this, but Don’t look back should be out within a couple of days. Just for the sake of doing something different I put together a quick video of it (sorry about the messed up colours and low quality in general; video editing remains a mystery to me):

I’ll probably beta test it for a day or two before the actual release. Anyone interested in checking it out a little early? 🙂

  1. Looks awesome! You know I’ll beta test if you need me. 🙂 Love the music too, actually. Did you do it? Reminds me of the Myst soundtrack, which I love more than almost anything. :p

  2. Heh, thank you – I’ll be in touch very soon 😉

Yep, the music’s mine! Took me most of last week to come up with a soundtrack I was happy with, and I think it’s worked out ok – it’s my first really serious attempt at making a full soundtrack for anything; glad you like it 🙂

  3. The video looks great.

Was the video cut from several different portions of the game?

If not, how come the character exits on the right side of the screen and appears on the right side of the next screen? It seems kind of counter-intuitive. I think most players would expect to appear on the opposite side they exited from.

  4. Oh wow, it looks even better than I originally imagined it. I thought the title was pretty lame at first, but after seeing the video I think it’s perfect. Can’t wait.

  5. I was going to say exactly what Matthew said – Reminds me of Another World (aka. Out Of This World), probably because of the lonely, rocky landscape and fierce wildlife.

Anyway, looks (and sounds) awesome. I love the red color palette, the music, ah everything looks good to me, even though I can tell I’m gonna die a lot 😉

    Best of luck to you.
