LD15 – ???

This year’s second Ludum Dare is starting in a few hours – I can’t wait to start working on it! Judging from the results of the first two voting rounds, the theme is either going to be Burrowing (with 59 votes), Caverns (48), Castle (45), or possibly Connections (31). (Actually, it’ll more than likely be Burrowing unless there’s a really dramatic change of opinion – that’s quite a lead. It’s a pity – I really like “Connections” as a theme.)

I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing yet. Hopefully this one will go better than my previous attempts at Ludum Dare – this is my third time participating, and I’ve yet to finish a game by the deadline. Though since the last one I’ve had quite a lot of prototyping practice, and finished two Mini-LD entries – so hopefully that’ll help 🙂

  1. Oh, wow! I love these themes! Except for connections (which received the least amount of votes 😛 ).

    I hope it’s burrowing, reminds me of an old Sega game (the title escapes me at the moment however) and I loved that game.

  2. Priorities:

    2nd: Making deadlines and winning contests
    1st: Making good games

    In that regard, you’ve done excellently thus far.

  3. Just curious if there’s any news on Ciellus still? >.<;;; Maybe even a demo version or something? It'd be a shame to see such a wonderfully promising project go under…

  4. I read on TigSource forums that the game was delayed and by the tone of the post it seemed like the fellow was leaning towards “permanently” delayed. I hope I am wrong.

    and I know that the artist (whose name escapes me) is working on Fez. So even if the game was not completely canceled I would wager it would be a long time from now before we see anything new..

  5. Well the artist is Annabelle… some kind of video or demo would be nice though…the two were working over time way back then trying to get something done for the TIGSource competition, so there must be some progress >.>;;;
