Rob Fearon’s “vvvvvVideogames” is the Ulysses of VVVVVV levels.
I mean, I haven’t read Ulysses or anything, but I presume it was a bit like this.
(blog post)
To play a VVVVVV player level, extract the .vvvvvv file into your VVVVVV levels folder. On windows, that should be in My Documents/VVVVVV, on Mac it’s Documents/VVVVVV, on Linux it’s ~/.vvvvvv
Now tell me, what the HELL was that? ROFL
Not sure about Ulysses, per se, but I really enjoyed this one.
One complaint: is the programming such that all user created levels must kick the player out to the menu screen immediately upon retrieving the last crewmate? Unfortunate in other levels I’ve seen because it disallows exploration after that point. Unfortunate for this level because of the abruptness. (I suppose it could be justified here as a sudden waking-up…)
What the shit?
…okay, that was AWESOME. I loved seeing all my favorite Willy rooms in VVVVVV format, especially the Off License and the screenshotted room, and the one above it.
And the general zanyness of this is amazing. I don’t think I’ll ever get such a kick out of a VVVVVV level. Thanks for posting this, Terry.
He’s the best Bob around, he is!
