7DRL 2015, Day 3

Yay, here’s a build!

[Play Online]

There’s a lot of work to do, obviously – there’s no real goal yet, there’s only one type of enemy, and sometimes it just randomly generates a doorless windowless room for you to reside in. But I feel like it’s going somewhere! Let me know what you think!

Tomorrow: Better enemies!

Really cool! I love the way your doing stealth.
One thing tho`, the fact that its turn based makes the stealth really easy, if you think every turn through the only thing that can actually get you is enemies turning; Other than that, its really easy to not be seen. Maybe if you where to make enemies stop, and look around once and a while, that would help.

Like it, it’s quite fun. I agree that the enemies are a too predictable so far, it’s getting difficult only when you are overwhelmed by the number of enemies. once you get the dagger, it’s easy to just sneak behind and kill them (even though you’re in for a surprise if you kill them all 🙂
Also, it seem the game randomly unequip items (for example you have a stick and a tazer equipped, you get the dagger, it get automatically equipped in place of the stick, but the tazer is not in your hand anymore)

Love the variety of items you put in the game, perhaps it would be better to only have non lethal items to enforce the stealth part of the game? or lower the drop rate of lethal items.

I made it to the 11 floor and got killed in a doorless room. in my case, after the 8th floor, the rooms that got generated where all the sames when it come to layout (but with more enemies / different items), maybe a bug in the room generation code?

looking forward to the next build!

really nice so far, makes me want to try old roguelikes. I kind of threw myself in though and didn’t know how to use the nightstick (it was equipped), is it automatic? how do I know it worked? most likely my fault for not paying full attention

Thanks for checking it out 🙂 I think most of these issues have been fixed in today’s build!
