mostly I look for crazy new shit that hasn't been done before, including/especially stuff that intentionally flouts the "rules" in that what not to put thread (lol, just noticed the first post lists improper design, thanks for the specificity)

for awhile i thought that everything has to have been done by this point, but now i think people could innovate in levels forever if they wanted to, especially narratively and thematically. there's lots of untapped potential there, i'm tired of people letting my edgy trolley problem bullshit stand! the world needs more avant garde walking sim vvvvvv levels

Belated Halloween level and second place in the discord level contest! Vitellary explores a mysterious graveyard dimension, and stumbles upon something sinister...

This level was made for a level contest on discord a few months ago, and got third place! Now I've finally gotten around to releasing it properly. This version contains a few fixes to issues that were in the version that was originally sent to judges.

It's a level about challenge and what, if anything, that means.

* Added slightly different ending dialogue if you go straight for the easy route

I remember feeling similar when I played it. It was super difficult, but I came away thinking it was really clever. The outside rooms afterwards were even tougher, but the patch notes say that was fixed so hey
