So, I came back to Vx6 after a long break, and wanted to make some maps in the editor. While I was playing around with old saves, I found one map that seems pretty good, and decided to finish it, but scripts have typos and are a bit hard to navigate. Knowing in-game script editor, trying to fix them would only cause more trouble.
So, I wanted to ask if it's possible to edit scripts outside the game. If yes, how exactly?
Oh, and, I think there was some external level editor, no? I wanted to try it too.

. I'm currently on 2.2 ver. of VVVVVV. There are files of them in 'levels' folder, but I'm unable to load saved levels and they don't show up in "Play level" section. What should I do to fix this?
