VVVVVV Levels / predicting predictable replies
January 05, 2015, 03:49:43 AM
Quote from: SJMistery on January 04, 2015, 08:53:03 PMI'm currently working on two old demo levels who never passed the alpha versions. these levels will be far more tricky and large than the two ones i bought here (and who nodoby got interested  :violet: )
soon a couple of betas will come!
also, i thinks i have found a way to fix the epilogue of "Dimension Switchback" of the old ToasterApocalypse. apparently, it's related to the iftrinkets-based scripts. i discovered it when somehow one of the trinkets at the start dissapeared, when i put back the trinket on his palce, it dissapeared again. to prevent any further glitches, put a warp token who leads you to a prevously empty room, with the trinket and a way out. unfortunately, it screwed again the epilogue. i'm searching for a more permanent solution, which will take long due to the monstruous number of scripts i have to track down and try to understand what they do (goddamn internal script).
meanwhile, i have included an emergency door, who will open a gate with the 20 trinkets and make you reach the crewmate, tough beforehand it sends you to a bonus level, who will be included as a final challenge of the epilogue once i permanently fix it  (not very hard, just a weird gravitron, you just need to be carefull with the final trap: to get the exit, mash the right arrow, or you will get a nasty surprise  :vermillion: ). enjoy!
thanks for the unnecessary long and run-on paragraph

but i'll test your supposed so-called 'fixed' version out

also what do violet and vermilion (also his name is spelled with one 'l') have to do with any of this

inb4 'they're smilies to show facial expressions'

Quote from: Lollipop on January 02, 2015, 03:17:55 AMIf you post room names, know that: Everyone can use these. They cannot be inappropriate. You can ask for your name in credits. Those are all the rules. Be sure to give as much as possible, I'll need these for future maps.
good thing these rules can't be enforced

Quote from: ZeNewDragon on December 28, 2014, 10:08:05 PMWhere did he say he got the Make and Play Edition off of Steam? He's saying he just purchased the full version of the game on Steam.
i asked him if he pirated it, he said he got the make and play edition

you know, you can add a non-steam game to your library, so i assumed he did that
Quote from: Epicperson456 on December 29, 2014, 02:37:10 AMZeNewDragon is right. Guys.  SRSLY.

VVVVVV Levels / i'm trying to get the trinkets

Quote from: alfasketer on December 26, 2014, 12:09:46 PMHere's the new version. Please tell me what you think of it.
there's a checkpoint in the way of an enemy, which means you can get spawnkilled over and over again and you can't do anything (twice in this case, since the enemy bounches back at the wall)
it's in the gravity line part

also your direct mode skills need more work but otherwise it's okay

Quote from: Bryelle on December 28, 2014, 01:07:13 PMUnfortunately the computer was repaired, but the documents were not saved,
and then, I will not do VeniVidiVici, because I will not make the tower in one room,
but you can also find some pieces in two rooms.
The demo will be released in a few months because I just started the level,
and as I told you before did not save documents,
then in a few months will release the demo.  :)
oh yes
make us wait more
promise more things

...this is going to be bad

Quote from: crazyal02 on December 26, 2014, 03:50:26 PMThe file's too big for an attachment, but I added a Dropbox mirror to the OP.

VVVVVV Levels / but i don't feel like playing it again
December 26, 2014, 08:57:24 AM
Quote from: alfasketer on December 26, 2014, 06:53:14 AMFixed*
so, surprising amount of gameplay for a 3x3 map
also, i wouldn't really call the 'glitches' you put in 'glitches', as the only glitches you put in were wall-clipping glitches
i also didn't like the single-tiled walls. maybe you should use direct mode and use the whole-color tiles

but overall, was a pretty enjoyable map. i would play it again

Quote from: crazyal02 on August 16, 2014, 07:56:54 PMFor many years now, Viridian has ventured through many dimensions, each with their own objectives.
Each with their own people, their own missions.
Yet for all of these years, Viridian has has one objective. Saving his home.
Now, he has a way.
Today, Viridian returns home.

Demo 1.1
  • Hotfix to resolve a critical crash bug in the Central Computer
Demo 1
  • Initial release
Demo 1.1 has been released! Installing it is a bit more complicated than a normal VVVVVV level; instructions are in the readme. 000001 is in ongoing development, so if you find a bug or issue, simply report it here; don't post your own fixed version. That means you, Shiny.

DOWNLOAD DEMO 1.1 HERE!
can you distribute it as an attachment? mediafire sucks, their website never works

Quote from: alfasketer on December 25, 2014, 08:20:44 AMSo I made a mod and I wanted to show it to you.

http://www.mediafire.com/download/alw1cicz7i9unf1/Glitchfest.vvvvvv

So you know every glitch (except for one) is placed by design.
I hope you like it.  :)
mod? don't you mean level
and can you distribute the level as an attachment, mediafire sucks

VVVVVV Help / just to save money
December 21, 2014, 03:22:43 AM
Quote from: Mysterio on December 20, 2014, 09:41:06 PMHowever you end up getting it back, I suggest copying it onto a backup drive, SD card or flash drive, just so you re-download it if you switch PC's or whatever.
That's what I did.

or use dropbox so you don't have to buy anything

Quote from: ShinyWolf07 on December 16, 2014, 02:18:06 PMI'm pretty sure that music(16) plays the predestined fate remix if you use 2.2.
so you haven't tested that it plays the predestined fate remix?
