I'm pretty sure I've seen faster platforms in a custom level before; how is it done?
There is a property for platform speed for each room in the level file, but you can also use Ved (an external level editor) to set that.
As for enemies, enemy entities can be created with custom speeds with internal scripting.

Okay cool, but how can I do this?

Do you know internal scripting?
say(-1)
text(1,0,0,4)
say(1)
changeplayercolour(red)
text(1,0,0,4)
say(4)
endtext
endcutscene()
untilbars()
loadscript(stop)
Note that don`t actually have a stop script if you already do than replace stop with any other script that does`nt exist.
gonna throw this out there that enemy speeds can be changed by
evil bit level hacking opening the level .vvvvvv in a text editor and messing with edentity attributes
forgot if it's p1 or p2 or maybe p3 but i'm too lazy to find that out

this is a script for making viridian red
how is that related to speed changing
also it's say(2) not say(1) i think
an example for internal scripting :-X
....It still has no relation to "Is it possible to make platforms/enemies move faster/slower?"
Plus, it's a faulty script anyway.

no, you can't change enemy speeds by editing entity attributes. you can only "change" enemy speeds by using createentity
