Title: Ascost: a new level by Sergione (1.5.1)! (NEW FORUM!)

Here's a new level for VVVVVV: Ascost!  ;D

The level is a bit difficult, it takes commitment to succeed!

This level has 5 worlds all dedicated to VVVVVV!  ;)

Versions of the level:

Version 1.5.1:

Changed some obstacles (I made a little more difficult level)
Renewed Warp Zone graphics and Polar Dimension. (the classic VVVVVV)
Changed the credits.

Version 1.5:

Some rooms have been changed! Changed the graphic, the final room and the credits!

Version 1.4 Final:

Changes in graphics and enemies, solved all those mini-bugs, finished the Polar Dimension and Mega-Tower with credits!  :vitellary:

Version 1.4 Alpha:

Changed music, some obstacles and bug fixes, in addition a demo version of the fourth World!!!!

Version 1.3.1:

Changes in level, adding enemies and spikes, and an area of Warp Zone in addition!

Version 1.3:

Completed the third world for a very fun!  ;) (And changing the map!)

Version 1.2:

I completed the second world, some change and a third world promo! :)

Version 1.1:

Change of some details, including music, roomnames and other stuff!

Version 1.0:

Public Release!  :)

This level is great! Short, sweet, mostly gameplay, (personally, I like levels with story better) and it's really fun.
The only problem I had was the lack of roomnames. I made a version that has roomnames, so if you want it, here you go!
(If you don't want it, then press "E" in a room and type to make a roomname.)



I  changed the music, because it didn't really fit. I also made some direct mode edits to make it look nicer. This is  still your level, so you get all the credit! ;)

You should change the roomnames! That's what I wanted you to do!

Also, what version are you using? I'm using 2.2.

This looks great! But every time a new version comes out, my direct mode goes away.  :(
I have an idea for the next version! I know how to make polar dimension (gray warp zone tiles, gray background, and the Predestined Fate Remix) so let me know after the "warp zone" is done, and I'll make it a polar dimension!  ;) If you want that of course.  ;)

All of A sudden the game as suddenly has crashed and not having saved, I lost more than half of the third world, I eventually decided to create a mini level to add along with Ascost.

I hope you enjoy it!  ;)

I need a help, because the mouse in the version 2.2 is not calibrated.
For example when I put the mouse on the left corner, it happens that the cursor is near the centre instead! :(

You don't have to change the Warp zones, you must create the fourth world only, if you like the music of the Warp Zone I changed with Pushing Onwards (1)

You just need to empty spaces to create your Polar Dimension, understood?  ;)

I just have to make everything gray and finish the ending cutscene!   ;D
Making everything gray is easy. the ending cutscene...  May take quite a bit longer.

Just so you know: this feedback is HEAVILY based upon the fact that I had no idea of what was going on, nor knowing where to go.

Level Originality: 0/10?  The rooms were either too empty or big to tell.

Level Design: 1/10 Like I said, too empty or big. On top of that, there were WAY too many areas where you had to up and back down, with no hazards in sight. Pointless.

Roomnames: 5/10  The roomnames were okay.

Story: 1/10 Story was present, but not understandable. I found myself running into scripts I had ALREADY found, such as the script where Viridian says "Help" for no reason,  ??? MULTIPLE TIMES. Please fix!

"Fun Factor": 0/10 I had no idea what the heck was going on. Not fun at all.

We want some time to think about the fourth world, isn't it Shiny, however are passing days and I decided to change the level (e.g. put more enemies, then make the level more difficult), then soon I'll release version 1.3.1! :D

For the things Sergione created:
Creative, pretty cool level design and balanced difficulty. It's not too hard, for sure. (I don't know if it could be considered too easy)
sw07 natually makes good levels and good edits to levels, so this is not too surprising. A good quality work, as usual.

Let me see if I can expand it horizontally. I did so, there seems to be no problems, I'll play to check.

It turns out that a.polar ant a.tower were 1.3.1 all along, and that attachment was ascost polar! What??? ??? :-X

I released an hour ago a level called Berky! Try It!

Meanwhile I thank all supporters of this level because the next message will be our 100 reply!   ;D

Anyway, I figured out what the bug is I will try to correct it!
One other thing is that the most recent version, 1.3.1, had 18 download! For me there are many, many thanks everyone! :)

Then suddenly it happened that the folder where my levels were disappeared, I did it again on another computer and now I'm here (see that I have recorded at the end of August)  :viridian:

cool level, two things: on the room who previously was the last, the final flip appears to be impossible, i passed by flipping directly without going the intended way using the gap with two enemies, but doing it th eintended way seems impossible, there isn't enough time to flip

This is weird, I succeed perfectly, maybe you mean the second room of the Final-Tower? Is easy, just that when you arrive, hit the gravitational line above, and immediately after that below! There is no bug there!

no, i mean the room that was the last in 1.4 alpha, in the last gap, you can skip the intended path (go to the hole with two enemies and flip quicly before they get you), who in turn is impossible, by simply flipping without falling

I don't take much time to these two levels, and I was focused only on Ascost to make it more "attractive" to the public. Since I don't update them a few months ago, I decided today, September 13, 2015, to announce the definitive removal of these levels. If you are curious to try them anyway, contact me privately and I leave the download.

I don't like this at all.

I've still kept Cloning Technology (http://distractionware.com/forum/index.php?topic=1626.msg18432#msg18432) on the forum, despite the fact that it isn't very good and I'd prefer to focus on 000000 and tOLP2 (when I'm not doing stuff unrelated to VVVVVV). If people want to play these older levels, they should be able to, particularly considering that they aren't stealing Ascost's spotlight by any stretch of the imagination as it is.

I know. I've seen fit and I had many reasons to remove these two levels:
-They weren't ready and definitive.  :P
- I don't dedicate 12 hours a day in VVVVVV, i have my own commitments too. Then in those 2-3 hours to create (if I can) to publish a new level or improve Ascost.
-In the thread 75 percent of messages are off-topic. It wasn't really "cool"  :D

I already knew that someone would have complained about this fact.
Then, I took other decision. We can decide whether or not to replace them. Then launch a poll to see how many levels they want (and maybe updated, I can't assure you nothing)

It's your decision!  :)

I'll also have to try this new version you got here. I remember beating this level a long time ago, might as well play it now.
EDIT: Hmm, quite challenging, considering you removed the checkpoint at One Point (i think...)

Now this is the final build, and then I do not think more to make changes. The last build is the 2.0, the "full" throughout.
I am finishing a few things to finish the level. So be patient a few days of waiting. :P
