Title: Do's and Don'ts
Post by: VeeC7 on October 08, 2015, 05:41:44 am
Do's:
Put backings to fancify your level (which I don't do often)
Use Direct Mode
No DTTHW Clones (although there are some in some of my levels)
Make it very big
Fitting music choices

Don'ts:
Making them too hard
Misaligned rooms
EXTREME CUSSING (as kids also play this game too)
Glitches

Can you add more?

Why did you quote the second one
For that I meant he put "No clones" in do's when he should have put
DTTHW Clones (although there are some in some of my levels)
In Don'ts

The OP said you should "make it very big", but I think that's bad advice. Make your level as big (and only as big) as it needs to be. Filling unused room squares with random crap is also something commonly believed to be beneficial but will most likely hurt your level.

DO:
Have some kind of plot
Make sure that the level description is filled out(I don't do this often)
Don't
Have to many crewmates
Have no checkpoints
And finally Don't use internal scripts that break the game

Don't
Have no checkpoints
Would it be better to put "Have checkpoints" in do's?
