VVVVVV / Fails to load - just a black window

I just downloaded from app store. VVVV didn't load - just a box with blank screen.  :victoria: Uninstalled, re-downloaded and reinstalled, same result. Rebooted, same result. Anyone have ideas? System: 10.6.7 2GB ram
