I honestly don't think anyone has ever got that trinket the hard way at full speed without cheating. At the very least, a checkpoint is required at the top to make it even possible as far as I can tell. Otherwise, you wouldn't get anywhere near enough attempts at the downwards trip to get good enough to be able to do it.

You do realize you can add a checkpoint into the level via the level editor to practice the bottom half, right? That's how I gained the necessary level of skill to beat it legitimately.

Yes, that is a flaw. In honesty, I worked so very fast at this that I didn't plan the paths very well. I am a bit at a loss on how to make those hints subtle without breaking immersion though. Got any tips?

Well maybe each time you complete a level (i.e. get to a crewmate) there can be a warp that takes you back to the beginning of that level, in case you want to try getting any missed trinkets, want to try recording it, or just want to have the fun of going through it again.

I really liked this level. Funny room names and dialogue all around, and nice efficient level design (I always like when a half hour later, you come back to a room but in a different part of it). The only thing that kinda annoyed me is that I never know which way leads to a trinket, and if I go the wrong way I'm not able to back to try again (without starting the whole game over). Maybe you could try putting in some hints so it's never a complete guessing game? Usually it's pretty clear where the trinkets are, but especially near the end, there are splits in paths and it's not until you reach a few checkpoints that you realize you chose incorrectly.

Well since the creator doesn't seem to be a member here, I decided to make a thread for his level. This is one of the 10 levels that come with VVVVVV 2.0, and I thought it was pretty clever. I particularly liked area 3 because it was based on a really interesting (and mean) idea. Anyway, if you like or hate this level say so here. Also, anyone know how to get the trinket in Wit Beyond Measure?

I beat this a while ago, and I loved it for its difficulty.

The Weep Like A Widow trinket (the hard way) is ridiculous, but I'm determined to get it. With recording lag I made it to the last room and almost got back to the second last room, but I held right too long and went into the right wall.  I'm now trying it without recording lag, and I've only gotten to the second last room. I've already died well over 3000 times on this challenge, but I'm slowly getting better. I won't be able to try again for another week, so hopefully I won't get too rusty. But when I do succeed I'll make sure to get it on video.

Also I like what you did with the other trinket. I would have never found it if I didn't draw out the spiral.
