I saw someone, on chipzel's SoundCloud, say they got 225...

YOu know, its funny.

My save data had reset recently, in the flash version.

So, I went and V ranked all 6 levels again.

...took me 2 tries for the first Space Station, I didn't count the rest of them (Cause they took a bit)

but I finished the first 5 in a few hours , and the last one in that evening.

....And then V2.0 came out.  Practically that day.

I don't want to make any promises, but everything on your list is something I want to add to the game in later patches!

Then no promises accepted!

Well, then, at that... are there any other plans that you have made for the level editor?  Or are they.... secret?

Anyways, Thanks for the answers, Terry, you're awesome!

And no, I'm not going to hold you to any of those =)

VVVVVV / Level Editor Plans/Questions
July 31, 2011, 12:33:06 AM
Serge here,
I was just wondering what people thought about these possible ideas for the level editor, and wondering also what plans were in store for the level editor, if there are any future plans....

Anyways, thoughts:

1: Vertical scrolling levels.

Like the tower, or panic room
As far as I know, this one is actually already in progress to be done....

2: Horizontal scrolling levels.

This wasn't in the original VVVVVV, but could actually provide some new aspects to gameplay in user made levels.

3: Changing tiles/Animated Tiles/Changing Colors.

This idea is just based on how Anomaly, Pure Unobtanium, and the entire 2nd half of The Final Level worked, where the tiles would change colors, and change styles and animate as well.  Perhaps something that can be invoked by scripting, such as a command like tileScroll(1) (1 means turning on or something), or bgColorScroll(1)?   The ability to turn it off by invoking a similar call, with the argument being 0 instead.
I dunno, thoughts?

4: Map Screen.

Could there perhaps be a map?  It would be optional, in the case that others don't want to have maps for their level.
But I don't know how much work this would actually take.

5: Teleporters

Well...?  If we had a map screen, wouldn't it be feasible?  OR as another idea, a Teleporter could perhaps be used as an alternative goal, instead of finding all players, it would be reach the teleporter?  I dunno, not my call!
Just some thoughts, that's all...

Anyways, just spreading ideas, and wondering what's in store!

<3 you all!

Hey everybody!

Just got a question, though...

I understand that you have vertical scrolling that is hoping to be implemented...

...Just wondering, if perhaps horizontal scrolling might be another idea to go for? I understand it wasn't in the original, however, but it could add some extra interesting stuffs.

As well as this... I wish to know about if it were possible to have a tower like level, where the level wraps around the world then overlaps before you reach the exit (As far as the map is concerned at least).

Or am I mistaken?

Ah well...

OK, if we're going to do errors here, I have a mighty fun one for you to do.

Whats the problem?

Hmm, well...
Lets just say we can screw up viridian's bounding box, and that it does pose a problem because of where it is =).

Step 1: Make a quicksave in the gravitron, keeping your character in the middle of the gravitron (or maybe the right side) when you save it.

Step 2: Load the save, watch the gravitron start, but also watch your character fall backwards into the rooms before it.
Somehow this screws up Viridian's collision bounding box, which causes him to be "thinner", which lets him fit perfectly through that hole in the very top of the map

Step 3: Walk through the hole.  You reach the 4-directional wrapping room of "Outer Space"!

Step 4: ????

Step 5: Profit!

after you fall down into outer space, there is no real return that I know of...

Interesting is that if you go back into the gravitron, and restart it, you can of course do the entire thing through..... but also, after you finish it, you teleport back, and can explore the world this way... *wonders if there are any other thin spaces with which to use this trick*

Buuut also, I think the bounding box was teleported out to the far right side of the screen... as to create a second copy of the character out there instead (for gravitron purposes?)... so if you go into any room that has an exit on the left side, and no opening on the right side, you will get stuck.

Everything else / Donations?

Hey there,
Is there anywhere I can donate to Terry?
I mean, I love all his stuff, have been following him for a while.
As well as this, I know how it feels to be low on cash and such.
does he have a donation page?
I bought VVVVVV today for $5, its awesome, but I read that it was originally 15.  Then, I found it on steam and decided to buy it there as well instead.  So I would like to atleast pay off the remaining 5 dollars from its original price.
So, to finish my question, is there a donation page I can go to do this?
Or should I just go buy it a 3rd time? ^_^
