Thanks for reminding me guys. I've now put all the campaigns with the original game, which can be downloaded here.

If you ever want to change your campaigns, just let me know and I'll update the download accordingly.

@arcticwolf15 - I made a slight change to room 2 in your campaign, with the cake and candles words. The game was getting confused, because all the words were adjacent. I've removed a couple of the words and it's all working correctly now.

Thank you! I couldn't figure that one out!

I actually found this on the demo, but it didn't break the game, and was slightly humorous, so I didn't complain. To do it, simply activate a teleporter with a key held.

Does the current download contain all the current campaigns?
I need to get back into this and actually finish some of the newer campaigns and make my own campaign.

Also, did articwolf15 ever actually officially release The Gauntlet?
That had to be one of my favorite campaigns.

I believe it will. I never officially released it as my beta testers never even tested it, besides you, who gave me hardly any input.

Argh!  I've been away much too long!  :violet:

Gotta look into this!
Especially now that it's complete!

It's playable, but not how I wanted it. I want to add more features to it, etc.

What? Hmm... I have had some trouble with the files... maybe I uploaded an old one, or an old .exe in the zip. I'll look at it.

Edit: Open the page. There should be a blinking arrow next to the instant play bar. Click it, and accept. It will download the new files. The new files are correct.

Nice!  :viridian: :viridian:

Now if only I didn't suck at the gravitron... looking at the .inis, it looks like you've got a lot of secret new stuff. Or are those for further versions? I guess so, as even my highscores aren't saving.

The background did turn out great indeed.  But the planets might look nicer if they were in different layers now that I look at it... or if they were the slowest layer, but still on top.

The .ini files are for future updates, which I plan to add. Much of the stuff on the .ini storing trinkets will be shop-based stuff for powerups in game. I do think the planets turned out weird though, especially since they appear over and over and over again. Perhaps I'll figure that out.

When my game is at a playable state, will you add it?

That sounds strange. My best guess is that you're trying to set it to a word like "left" and getting an error that "left" isn't recognized. If so, you need to put quotes around text if you want to set something to it. If you could copy and paste the error message, that would probably help me.

Also, if you join this forum, you can get help from more people than just me: http://gmc.yoyogames.com/

Sounds easy enough. I'll try it and report back.

Report: No dice. I have an object that sets the variable (no error or anything there), but when the character tests it, it says it doesn't recognize the variable.

How does it crash? Is there an error? If so, what does it say?

There's an error saying it doesn't recognize the variable. The strange this is that it says that it can't recognize the value.

I'd be glad to help you with variables if you tell me what problems you're having.

Every time I try to implement something with variables, the game crashes.

Check sprite isn't an action. I meant that you should open your change/set sprite actions and check to make sure you're using the right one.

I'm actually using one currently. I just decided to give a little update. I was originally going to use variables to determine the sprite. The only problem is that... variables hate me. :victoria:

Digital watches are not allowed due to the "electronics" rule. Analog watches can be used, provided they do not provide more detail than seconds.

EDIT: And after merely hours, The Brass has figured it out!

You are still free to participate, but unless you're Terry, you'll only get the song if you figure out a different method from the one The Brass used. Good luck!

And I have one suggestion, too, if it's not too much game-breaking trouble. I'd love to see platforms that move perpendicular to their own.. axis, rather than parallel. Like a horizontal platform that moves up and down, or a vertical one that moves left to right. That would open up some possibilities. Other than that, I really can't think of anything you could add or make better within the limitations of the format!
Good idea! Unfortunately that's probably going to be very complicated, but I'll look into it and let you know.

Actually, it could be very easy. Simply program it to have one tile for each direction. The only problem with this is that old levels may need conversion.
