Free web hosting? Really? That's not going to last long.

I'm willing to host off of my server (it's at http://alasershark.com ) and/or buy a domain name. Either is fine with me
Domain name, you say? ;)

Yes. Yes I did say.

What's the idea of tOLP? A level that everyone makes?

That sounds suspiciously like a thread I saw a while back on here...no idea what it was...I've been a lurker for a while, heh. It wasn't tOLP though

Anyway I'll test.

I've never gotten screen recording working with audio under Linux though..

Oh man, there's this one software that I know that works pretty well...Not sure about audio but it's optimized for recording games. You'll need some command line skills though. Clicky here.

Finished green and blue. Halfway through red (right after an unexpected detour)...Applied Flipmatics...Sendy, you are a horrible person.  :violet:

Legit bump. We are now on BETA 2 for S01E02 - I've completed area 1, completed area 2, and started on area 3.

Anyway I'd love to see Terry's stance on Open Sourcing VVVVVV and opening it up as free to play (with no DLC!). That might bring life into these forums yet
It's something I've thought about in the past, but with the 3DS version now it seems unlikely to happen. Sorry.

I'm unsure if he's even still making money off of it...I'd absolutely love to see if open-sourced or handed off to another developer/group of developers to continue on - the forums have great potential but he just commited to it for a few months and then moved on. I can't say I blame him - @AD, SH, both amazing games, and VVVVVV is a very old project...I'd like to see it ported even - I might make an exact lookalike in java if I can. But I probably wont.

Interesting, and I've saved the crewmate.
Add a music first, you can do that in the main menu of level editor :) 'Esc'
Just something to be aware of, the walls are inconsistent in many rooms on both sides of warping direction.
This includes:
'You're wasting by reading this' -->1 wall tile more at the right side.
'Help I'm looping and can't get out' --> 1 wall tile more at the right side and left side each
'Down Spike Dead' is very inconsistent in walls. Although I understand you want to make both ways possible...
1. Your warp token destination can lead to player getting stuck in walls. Leave a pixel place above and under the destination to avoid this.
2. After you've taken the warp token, go right and flip, you can get stuck in the 2 pixel width walls below.
'Bittersweet Harmony' --> 1 wall tile more at the right side

The design is good, and I find the coding interesting. Just be aware of the wall tiles placement when warping is involved. Never underestimate player's ability to go the wrong way :D

Fixed in 1.1

Also, beta one of S1 E02 is out. (It is titled "Untitled Level" because I am lazy and forgetful. Sorry.)

Wait, so this is sorta like a multi-part level?
I was gonna do something like that, then got lazy and never finished the first cutscene  :D

More like me putting all my levels into one forum thread because I am lazy, with a loosely connected story.

So yeah, totally a multipart level.

Anyway, what do you think of it?

Apparently it's a FINAL beta, as seen in the topic title of that post :P

I use Mac a good part of the time, too. Just download Windows 2.1 and use WINE!

Where do I download this?

You can download it here

Actually, I have Macports (http://www.macports.org/), and I used that to install WINE. I'd go with aLazerShark's method first, though. But if that doesn't work (like it didn't with me), try Macports.

It's aLaSerShark :P
