VVVVVV / Re: Steam?

H... how is it that important which store you buy your game from?  No matter how many times I hear it explained to me, I still struggle to understand.  Valve must be some kind of geniuses at developing a brand image, if they can inspire this amount of loyalty to an online store.

Since I won't play every single game in existence, it seems to me that I'm incredibly unlikely to encounter this cameo myself.   Considering that, with most probability, I'm not currently planning on playing whatever this game is, I certainly wouldn't mind having it spoiled, and would in fact like to know what's going on.  PM it to me, maybe?  :)

So, what happens if you can't find a reasonable patch tool for mac?  I'm waiting for v1.2 before I take a serious stab at the time trials.

Oh, good catch.

Not to pester you for more after you've just finished some damage control, but what's needed before you can get a Mac patch out?

In case you haven't seen it, Terry's released a patch!  Hopefully this will fix all your problems.  If you've installed the patch and still are finding bugs, go ahead and report them in the patch's thread.  Happy V-ing!

For the sake of us who are unreasonably dedicated to having the trophy be a 100% surprise if we ever do manage to earn it, please don't talk about what the it is in any sense.  That includes what it isn't.  If what you are saying could only be said by someone who has seen the trophy, hide it in white text or something!   :vitellary:

Finally got a chance to play this.  Really cool!

Oh no! Captain Viridian has been split into six lifeless clones and scattered across dimension VVVV! Chief Verdigris must venture out into this dangerous world to save him, braving crazy spiky traps, even smaller resolutions, and a complete lack of any engineering-related challenges! Will he overcome the "Doing things the hard way" homage? Will he get lost in a world where screen wraps occur without warning? Will he go utterly insane after the hardest of rooms leads only to a message to Terry? And most importantly, will Doctor Violet be impressed? Find out all this, but not really, in...

I'm not going to watch that, in case it's legit.  Is it legit?  :vitellary:

Just please be careful not to spoil it!  I hope to earn it myself some day.   :viridian:

Grr.  I want to do this, but for some reason in-browser java shit hasn't worked for me for the last couple months.  Niether Java's support site, nor Apple's, is any help at all.

Can anybody with Macintosh and/or Java know-how help me figure this out?  All of a sudden the issue feels urgent.  ;)

Well, you got me!  I was about to skim over this topic to avoid spoilers and post congratulations, when I noticed something seemed fishy.   >:(  Anger is I!

( :D)

Man, the first person to actually do this had better have a camera rolling when it happens.  Most impressive youtube video ever.

There is disappointingly little information about Matt Grey that is easily findable on the internet.  Where can I hear more of his music?

That "if you hit a checkpoint quickly, the screen scrolls forward when you die" thing was my mortal enemy during my first playthrough.  "Why??"  I would scream at my computer, "why do you think so little of me??"
