Good idea. I guess it was unfair to the other games, as most people come here because of VVVVVV.

Yeah, looks really cool so far. That new puzzle mechanic is indeed very cool looking, but also looks confusing-and hard. Which is good. Was kinda skeptical about this at first but you're doing great.

Knocht, it's not like he didn't try. Reading some of his posts and blog entries it seems he really honestly tried. He even apologized. What do you want from him? I'm sure he's tried every possible solution, instead of whining wouldn't it be more productive to offer some hints? He fixed his mistake and removed Linux as an available platform on the main VVVVVV site. Which you can still play it on Linux through Wine.
Was it unwise to announce a port before proper testing? Yes, he's only human. Stop making him out to be some evil devil purposely trying to ruin your day.

Visual Basic 6??
Reasons why?
If you are terrible at coding why not try Game Maker or Construct?

Yeah, I didn't download it but judging by the size it was the pre-release beta. Could not verify if it works or not but either way, it wasn't the full version you released.
I'm also pretty sure you can find a way to detect a spammer before he spams. Say if he has x amount of messages in x amount of minutes to auto ban.

VVVVVV / Re: "Not as i do" -- the most annoying room?
January 19, 2010, 07:46:35 AM
It was very hard the first time, I admit. But the second time it was a peace of cake. There were some other rooms in the finale that were just as hard, I thought.

VVVVVV / Re: No Death Mode

I think the best way to do it is practice. Just play like normal and pretend that no death mode is on. When you do die, you practice over and over again until you can do it perfectly without dying. Speed should also be the last thing on your mind. I still think it would take hours and hours of practicing and failed attempts before someone gets thins. But I'm awfully surprised someone hasn't done it yet. I kinda thought that someone would hurry up and secure the bragging rights for this.

no one uses a controller? I absolutely hate playing platformers with arrow keys. I don't see how you guys do it

I have version 10,0,42,34 and for what it's worth, game runs perfectly fine. Controls are perfect. Windows 7 32 bit.

People are just cheap and selfish, nothing new. As for the people that actually buy the game and then share it, I don't know their motivation.
There was no need to make a thread about this, these things were inevitable.
