Vermilary/Vitellon (Vermilon+Vitellary)

Bullets everywhere
Which translated to Enemies everywhere in the level!

Shikieiki's Challenge is not that hard once you figure out the trick. It's one of my favourite for being a cool puzzle :D

Hint 1: I suppose you are stuck on the lower section, as the upper section is fairly easy.
You don't want to stand on the part like this:
|_ _|
But rather somewhere close to it.
At that place, you will not be hit by the enemies.

I have included the new version that fixes the bug of The final battle :D

VVVVVV Levels / Touhou x VVVVVV: Dimension Gensokyo (VVVVVVersion 1.0) !!!!

Quote from:
Rule ⑨: There is a Touhou version of it. No exceptions.
May I present you my new level: Dimension Gensokyo (VVVVVVersion 1.0)!!!

Theme: Touhou
Design: Separated into four parts based on 4 Touhou games: Mystic Square, Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, Phantasmagoria of Flower View and Subterranean Animism.
Trinkets: 14
Crewmate: 4  (:vitellary:, :verdigris:, :violet:, :vermillion:)
Difficulty: Medium, although some rooms are fairly hard

Let me show you some of my favourite rooms (my favourite is A geyser for its appearance :D):

(Yes I'm so lazy that I capture these in the level editor)

Actually, the gameplay is definitely the main part. I also modify the story to fit in the background of VVVVVV.
Please give me some suggestions and point out bugs in case you face any.
I have included some credits in a room - see if you can find it  :viridian:
(That's easy to find with level editor, though.)
Play the level now  :vitellary:

EDIT: I'm removing all my levels after receiving confirmation that I'm a poor level maker. This is one of my relatively better works but there are still some difficulty spikes and overall kinda dense. If you really want to go through such a mess, I still have them backed up and I would reply to you maybe 20 years later.

I don't like the transition from Spike City to Process. It feels somewhat cheap...
Also, I find myself bad at enemies bouncing between super narrow walls...and you feature this quite a lot.
But they are just minor issues though. The ending is weird. Are you planning on expanding the level?
I will give 7.5/10 for this.

I ran into wall glitches several times and have to restart. Not so funny.
No spikes in the level.
So many empty rooms! I have to look into the map continuously.

Wow that's a seriously good level.
You can move very freely before bound to stick to walls.
There are PLENTY of AMAZING artwork.
I like how you place all the spikes in the room (11,11).
It's also a great maze - so much better than what I've designed before.
You fall into black-filled room continuously, misleading you that all rooms are black.
I like how there is no script bothering me in the journey of exploring the great world.
I think the fact that there are two parts is cute too :D
Best. Level. Ever.
Terry must feature this.
You know they're sarcasm, right?

Oh I missed this. I have updated the attachment and you should be able to backtrack now :D

EDIT: I changed some parts to make things look better :)

1. Start in the control area.
2. Use the TD terminal.
3. Use the T0 terminal. You should arrive at the secret area.
4. Use the TD terminal in the secret area.
5. LEVEL PART COMPLETED message appears, then a dialogue.

v0.0 release! New version attached in the first post  :viridian:
Please give me some comments so that I can adjust it  :vitellary:

...........the screenshots are not made by the OP. I used the cropping tool in Windows 7, so they weren't made that great....

Awesome level, man. It's some super powerful scripting used extremely well!
I notice that if I go like T0 with TD destination-->TD terminal, it will toggle the script calling me to go to the Tower =.=
I haven't found all trinkets...I couldn't do the trinkets in DT!
It's a very good level  :viridian:

EDIT: Almost forget, but You Thought It was Easy made me cry. I managed it though. It's funny that I played quite well in all other rooms in that area as I designed a conveyor level with dodging enemies and I found stuff like Narrow Path easy  :vitellary:

My beta do you mean that you didn't build the whole level yet or do you mean that it may still have bugs and rooms that are too hard/easy?
If it's the 1st case, then I'll wait until you finish it. If it's the 2nd, then... I'm not sure if I'll play it since I have other levels to play.

I'm just worried that some rooms may be too hard. The construction of the level is complete.  :viridian:
You don't have to rush to play this, really, it can be played as you like.
But, maybe I should change it to something like v0.0 instead?

Images again:

Try to combine this two photos in your mind. This is how I got stuck after warping one or two round(s) upwards in the room before Magic Maze.
Quite a serious glitch and you have to
Checkpoint placement is more and more cruel when comparing to previous levels, but I manage to beat it though.
Since I hate The Final Challenge with a passion, I didn't get the trinket too :victoria:
I like the idea of playing as :vitellary:, although keep on hearing the 'die' sound twice (one from the sad emotion of :vitellary:) after failing that long sequence from Yellow Time to Empty Corridor is a bit disturbing.
But there's another silly part. If you move too slow in Intersection, you can fall in to the teleportation room and have to do the whole thing again.......except I abused savestates. (It happened to be at Yellow Time though)
A good level still, but you need to fix some bugs.
Also I actually have made a level too and no one looks at it.

« on: January 05, 2013, 04:04:03 am »
Decent level! I skipped the trinket with heart because I am bad at dodging enemies trapped in a margin continuously :victoria:
Just one thing:

I don't want this to be fixed :viridian:
To reproduce: Enter the room to get first :vermillion: to spawn. Move to the right and the script for reminding players to go back come up. I move to right a bit more and second :vermillion: appears.

BTW, I have grown so much better in Gravitron - I died in the red lab room (including failing to get to checkpoint...) far more than Gravitron :vitellary:

VVVVVV Levels / My level: Fragments v0.2
« on: January 04, 2013, 01:40:23 pm »
So I finally designed a new level. I integrated ideas from levels I made before to make a 10x12 level.
It's fairly large, although quite some space is occupied by the warp zone.
The level includes a "ship", a crowded "Outer Space", uncreative Platform Zone, Inversion Zone, a large Warp Zone (Maze), Conveyor Zone (like a easier Conveyor Vun), Warp Token Zone (guess what it does?) and a final, quite difficult zone.
I have a feel that sometimes I make rooms too hard. Please tell me if some rooms are too difficult.
There's a little bit of story in the level too, although my main focus is gameplay.
Thank you! I will update this for balance (usually nerfing) :)

EDIT: v0.2 release! I just attach the new version :D

EDIT 2: I'm removing all my levels after receiving confirmation that I'm a poor level maker. Some sections of this are clearly not properly playtested. If you really want to go through such a mess, I still have them backed up and I would reply to you maybe 20 years later.
