VVVVVV Levels / Re: VVVVVV Level Editor Tutorial - Part 1: The basics
« on: July 29, 2011, 02:08:23 am »
Sorry, I was hoping to get the second tutorial out today, but I've had my hands full with the save converter  :victoria: Will try to catch up tomorrow!

That's OK take your time!  Someone else might make a thread too, who knows.  Some people get good at this sort of thing quickly.

This made me join the forum. c: Messing with it now. Also, hi, everyone!

On topic: Quick question, is there a way to give each room it's own title like in the game?

Yeah one of the tools is room name I believe, you just click somewhere and type in a name.  It actually doesn't have to be at the bottom of the screen, it can be anywhere.

EDIT: What I want is to be able to put in my own music and/or enemy sprites.  Or if that's unfeasible, at least have access to more enemies.  That way I can put in cloud puffers :D

this scripting stuff is a bit confusing.  I understand the say and reply but that's about it.

I hope someone makes a scripting thread.

Is it just me or is this level a total maze?  I won with, like, 2 out of 12 trinkets or something (I forget the actual numbers) :o

btw I REALLY like your tiling style.  Your rooms look terrific.

This is one of my favorites that came with the game because it is so much easier.  most of the other levels are driving me insane.  This one was a wonderful excursion into playability.  :D

VVVVVV / VVVVVV on my new computer (save game?)
« on: March 31, 2011, 11:22:39 pm »
Hey people.

I registered so I could ask about this.  I've owned VVVVVV for a while, I bought it in the summertime I believe.  Anyway, I just got a new computer, an Acer laptop with Windows 7.  My old computer was a Compaq 515 notebook with Windows XP.   I moved all my games over from the Compaq to the Acer, including VVVVVV.

My question is: how do I get my saved game back?  I was surprised that there wasn't a stickied topic about recovering save games; I figured it would be a popular topic.  I was really proud of my V rank time trial on The Tower and my 17 seconds in the super graviton and I hope I don't have to do everything over again (already did it once).

Hope this isn't too hard to do!

EDIT: why in the world is captcha needed to post something? O.o
