Why does it read one of the comments aloud? First I thought that it was my Opera's voice features gone wild, but the same comment is read in IE. Is it part the game that I don't understand? :D Also I've noticed this voice sounds very much like GlaDOS. =)

VAgentZero, great comparison! :D

* The player character will be Yvette:
Now if you'd name one of the levels "Listen very carefully, I shall say this only wence" my life would be complete.
Consider it done :viridian:

ROTFL! :D:D:D

Oh I love 'Potential for anything'! It is the only song in this soundtrack that feels to me to be both happy and sad at the same time. I know it sounds eerie but I somehow find this song + Super Gravitron to be a metaphore of life - you try, you fail, you are sad, you try again and again, you succeed, you are happy, you think about all previous fails but also about all potential successes in the future. Totally love it.

A poll maybe? :P

Actually, has anyone done it yet? But you know, really-really, not just save-game hacking...

Just write to Terry, I'm sure he'll give you new download link or something. The links were probably temporary for safety measures.

(spoiler)

Oh, that one. My expectations were a bit higher. ;)

Though I didn't get it at first, I think it struck me when playing the first concept version. ;)

For the code, well, thanks for explanation. :D One more silly question: Did you have to program a code that turns playfield at its current state into a picture that is then rotated, or is that PlgBlt function capable of immediate transformation of program's display? :o Anyway sorry for offtopic here.

And the Conway's Game of Life idea is superb! Actually, I've been thinking about a simple shoot-em-up game with enemies at least partially generated by Conway's rules (or some other rules), but, to my big dissapointment (but also delight) I found out that someone has already done it!  But still this topic is extremely innovative and hot, it's procedural generation and replayability at their best.

Or maybe not so innovative, as when trying to find the game I've mentioned I just found a bunch of other games using Conway's Game of Life. :| Well, definitely still hot.

Again sorry for offtopic Mr. Moderator :D (Okay okay! You're excused! /Moderator)

"Sub Conway()"? :D What purpose will that serve? :D Can't wait to see!

Great job, really!

I only have one question: how did you do screen rotation in VB6? :o I mean, there are probably bazillion ways to do it, but I cannot think of any fast one.

I don't know what you're talking about but I would like to see it despite the spoiler alert. :P I have completed VVVVVV and don't really play modern games so I guess that would not spoil anything for me. You could post it in somewhat SPOILER-ALERTED and obscured way, so that people who want to see it can see it (and people who don't want to, won't have to ;])

So... What's the name of the super combined guy? Must start with V.

Obviously, Verybigsupercombinedguy would fit. =)
