I'd put the download link on the first post.

Click the "Modify" button over the post to edit it.

Trying it now!

Well, I found a game breaker. Right after I started so can't give my opinion on the map yet ;)

At the room "Grotto", if you die after reaching the checkpoint closest to it, you'll fall through the wall indefinitely and wil have to restart the entire map.

EDIT: It's also possible to be stuck indefinitely within the platforms on "Elevator Action"

This level was very nice, very polished, and also very difficult IMO. Mostly around the trinkets.

The 1st trinket (Bait & Switch) I could not get, as I could never time that last jump right. I'd like it if you could remove one of the spikes from around the trinket to give the player a bit more leeway.

The 2nd trinket (Pipeline) was fine. Had a lot more of a twitch factor than other jumps, too.

The 3rd trinket (Love, Deuce) I was able to obtain, but it was extremely difficult. I think it would be good to add a checkpoint next to the terminal in "Deuce", or at least add a way for someone to chicken out if they make it past "Love" and realize that they aren't skilled enough to complete "Deuce".

Besides that I enjoyed the level! Very challenging, almost a bit too challenging at some parts, but very fun.

...

That map was actually *kind of* fun.

Anyway.

Design: 5/5

It was really well designed. I could tell you placed each individual spike with care, as the jumps were just right and barely possible. That must have been hell to playtest, too.

Difficulty: 3.5/5

I know it's meant to be impossibly difficult, but some of it was just plain annoying. I died about 50 times just trying to edge my way into line for the jump next to the checkpoint ;)

Enjoyment: 4/5

I really enjoyed it, just because after I reached a checkpoint I felt so good about myself. However, most other people would not be able to finish this challenge or would give up before completing it.

Originality: 4/5

The spike jumps and 'puzzles' were really good, just because of how well it was designed. You took a pretty average concept and turned it into a great challenge.

Overall: 4/5

NOTE: The level was rated based on the fact that it was meant to be insanely difficult.

NOW FOR PICS.

I'm proud to say that I beat the level AND beat you in amount of deaths ;D

I'm not crazy, just driven. Also, ignore the time taken - I took a pretty long break (as recommended by the terminal).

Hey there Arkatox! I just beat your level.

I got 5 out of 6 trinkets.

I enjoyed it, especially the last three levels, but Finalia got annoying right after I died on the next-to-last group of spikes.

I also found the Chuck Norris room, and after that I randomly fell to see the other death traps, and that's how I found one of the trinkets :P

I think that trinket is a bit too hard to find. I found it purely because I was looking for the names of the rooms you could die in.

Hey Rox! I really enjoyed your level.

The only room I didn't like was What Goes Around... I'm pretty sure I went through the right door, didn't notice the portal, and saw that the room was exactly the same. Eventually I just quit until I saw that you WERE supposed to do it by trial-and-error ;)

I got the first trinket (GAH IT TOOK ME SO LONG) but I never even saw the second one...

Very nice level. It was hard enough to be very challenging, but not too hard. Hard balance to strike there. The "One More Room" screen (those were the words going through my mind after I died on it 20 times ;) ) was very hard also and just barely doable. You need to have extremely precise timing to get through the drop. I guess for a bonus level it's okay, though.

Thanks for the solution!

I was hating you and life when I got no checkpoint after the Gravitron screens =P

I found a bug in the "City Lights" screen. Same as discolight except a bit different.

I went on the second platform and let it travel all the way to the top. When it hits the spikes, your character gets stuck in it indefinitely. I reproduced it two or three times. Here's an image.

Nevermind, saw that you fixed it at a later date than I downloaded it. Sorry.

Hey SoulEye! I really am enjoying your level (the little I've played of it... Newbiness?) and I love the VVVVVV soundtrack. The major song in your level sounds a lot like the Eye of the Tiger chorus...

Anyway, I'm stuck on the "Nudge-Nudge" screen and for the life of me can't find a way to beat it. I tried to reach the small ledge on the left side, but I keep getting rammed into the spike. Then, I tried to fit through the space between the platform and the spike on the right side, but kepty getting rammed into the spike. Could you PM me a solution? Thanks.
