Pressing escape resets the player at the beginning of the game with the same amount of deaths and time. It's awful! I don't know how to beat this room.
I finally got it downloaded and working, apparently.
EDIT: Whoops! That was just me pressing the go button by accident after pressing escape... nothing happens... damn. I press load and it's still the same situation.

By the way, there is a thread on these forums about a remake that will be done in 3D of VVVVVV.
It's called QQQQQQ.
It was originally based off of a CoD:4 build mod but then migrated to OpenArena, the Quake 3 engine.
It's still a work in progress, but if it ever does get done, it would probably be something like this.
It's posted in one of the sticky threads at the top of the VVVVVV board. It's called 'VVVVVV Demakes and Fangames'. Terry started the thread and stickied it himself a while back to compile all those works together in one place.
So, while Terry may not be working on a 3D version of VVVVVV, someone else probably will, in due time, make a 3D version.

Yes. In order to play flip mode you start a new game. All your scores and history are preserved, but the game itself starts over with the crash, but flipped.
Then you play through everything flipped. Upon completing flipped mode, you may receive something special.
