VVVVVV Runs Slowly

Hello! So, I just installed VVVVVV last week, and didn't really notice any problems. That is, until I watched some other people playing it, and realized that my game runs much slower! I've tried disabling the background and effects, and even minimizing the window, but it still runs slowly. What's strange is that sometimes the game will run quickly, but in a few seconds will revert back to the slow speed instantly, without crashing or anything.

I already completed the game before I realized that it was running slowly, but I just simply want to play it at the original speed!

Try turning down some graphic options, make sure your game isn't slow in game speed, and maybe upgrade your PC. What are your PC Specs?

I have an Acer M Aspire, with a 1.8 GHz processor and 6 gigabytes of RAM. I don't play many games to begin with, so I think upgrading would be a waste of money.

But like I said earlier, 5% of the time it does run at the normal speed.

I have an Acer 1.7 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, HD Graphics 4000 and my game is okay. So it shouldn't be a problem with your PC.

Hey, I just found out something pretty strange: if I have Google Chrome running in the background, the game runs at normal speed! Could someone please explain this? Thanks!
