I just noticed the maximum number of people online ever to be 1916, and wondered: could we beat that? If we got everyone to read this post and come online at a certain date, say for example, Saturday 11th August, could we beat that?

I know it's highly unlikely, seeing as this forum is getting less and less visitors  . But anyway, it's worth a shot
