Seems like it's semi-done. I'm unsure if there was something wrong on my part, but for some reason, the vvvvvv directory (in ~/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/) was completely empty and therefore VVVVVV didn't run properly. I tried to delete the empty directory and make a symlink to the directory in which I have a real install of VVVVVV, which worked perfectly (and as a bonus made it run the 2.1 version) :P

Anyway, I'm unaware on whether the steam binary @ vvvvvv-linux was supposed to be any different from the provided 2.0 binary from the HIB, if this is the case, then this was obviously missed for me due to how I did this.
