Is VVVVVV a game? Answer me. Also I just posted this to say that I just watched an adaption of Shakespeare's play 'Twelfth Night' in which the cast goes up on stage at the end and dances to Gangnam Style. That doesn't happen in the original play, mind you. Also there was a pair of siblings, one of which is forced to be a cross-dresser to send a message to someone that a certain Duke loves and also there is Malvolio.

Alright, so,  I'm in two minds right now about what do to with this forum. Should it be a focused place for people to talk about my games (if they want), for people to talk about their own VVVVVV levels, about other topics related to game design or learning to make games in general? I'd like that. That seems to me like a useful place to exist.

Or should just be a random top-of-your-head anything goes nonsense zone? I guess that's pretty harmless. But I don't really see the point in it.

The problem is, if it's ever going to be the former, it cannot be the latter.

However, I don't really have time to be activate on forums anymore, so it's not like I can really be part of making that happen. So I don't really know what the solution is. Suggestions are welcome. Right now I feel like my options are:

- Take a heavy hand with moderation, lock nonsense threads, which would hopefully over time encourage more thoughtful discussion.

- Just give up and let this place become whatever it's going to be.

If this forum becomes "do whatever you want"-style, I'll most likely (depending on the level of randomness) stop visiting the forum, I'd prefer if the forum is what it has been.

While there *really* are better places for this, wouldn't it work with a middle-ground? Unlock general discussion to what it used to be (general, serious, discussions) and make a forum dedicated to.. uhh, randomness.

There are millions of places on the internet where you can have random discussion. General discussion here was even less than that. It was mostly generic forum games. I like coming here and having focused discussion about VVVVVV and level creation, and I personally wouldn't have a problem with nonsense threads being locked.

In my opinion, I think it would be better to lock/delete all random threads. I must admit I also posted in forum games, and made some, but there are too many random threads now, which look more like spam. Also, while general discussion is locked, people are cluttering other parts of the forum like it were general discussion! So I think that if people keep creating random threads in other parts of the forum, like the VVVVVV and Super Hexagon board, that those should be moved to a new board for randomness, like FIQ said.

Why not reopen General Discussion and make a board for forum games? I recall this happening to Rooster Teeth and that they did, and it worked.
