Hello, first post here. I bought the game a few days ago and I'm enjoying it a lot. I've played for 5 hours and beaten the first two difficulties. Out of curiosity, approximately how many hours did you put on this game before you finally beat Hyper Hexagonest? If you haven't yet, how long have you been playing and what is the hardest difficulty you've beaten?

Actually there's specific reason I'm asking. You see, one of my friends bought this game yesterday. After only 0.6 hours of playtime he had completed Hexagonest and managed 30 seconds on Hyper Hexagonest. I seemed very suspicious to me that he got that good in such a short amount of time. Eitherway, it was late and and I was tired so I went to bed.

Today he sent me a video of him suriviving 81 sec in Hyper Hexagonest. I checked his steam profile and it clearly said "Super Hexagon: 2.1 hours played". Is it possible that he did this without cheating? To me it sounds too incredible to be true. Is he some kind of super human or what?

Eitherway, tell me how long it took you to beat Hyper Hexagonest. 10 hours? 100 hours? 500? And do you believe it's possible for someone to get this good in this short amount of time?

He may also have bought the iPhone/iPod/iPad version, which was released a few months earlier. In that case, he had played the game before so he already had experience with it.

He might have just gotten good playing the regular non-super Hexagon, like I did.

Hexagon: 60+ seconds in 1 try
Hexagoner: 60+ seconds in 1 try
Hexagonest: 60+ seconds in 2 tries

No idea how long it took me to beat Hyper Hexagonest.
I'm pretty sure it was under an hour. If not, then it didn't take much longer than that.

EDIT: 1 hour and 3 minutes
That's how much time was in between getting the first achievement and the final achievement plus 1 minute.
I did spend some time browsing the web in between, so the actual time was below 1 hour.

I've been mostly concentrating in high scores in the lower modes (have yet to breach the top ten though...), but after 25 hours of game time, I am at the point where I can get to 60 seconds Hyper Hexagonest fairly regularly. The end mode still crushes me though   ???

I'm starting to master the end mode...just hit 92:52 with 137:12 before that, which beat my high score of 103 seconds.

Heres a top: start at the top right diagonal part of the hexagon. It is a safe starting spot. The hardest walls/spaces to tell apart are the ones that come in top and bottom.
The other thing that can easily get you are the notch mazes where it can either go left left right right right or left left left left left. You have to really SEE what is coming up while you are doing the first 2 lefts and work simultaneously brain and hand to decide wether the next 3 are lefts or rights.

Practice and it will become the most fun mode ever :)

Kando we must be blood brothers or something. I always start on top right, die on top/bottom gaps, and my score before 138 was 104. I'm not making anything up.

Three gruelling hours. I probably spent more time on regular hexagonest than hyper hexagonest.

After negotiating the RRLLL wave several times in a row, dodging seemingly-impossible spirals, twitching for about half a minute, and finally going through the longest 10 seconds I have ever experienced in my entire life, I can finally say one thing.

I have beaten Hyper Hexagonest.

My life is complete. This is mankind's final purpose.

And it took me a couple weeks.
