Roomtext appears over the roomname and is 1 pixel lower than it so
I figured out that you can do something like this

and this

By putting roomtext behind the roomname
sadly you can't have multiple words in the roomname with the crazy trick
haven't tested in 2.0
oh and I made this for no reason

It doesn't always work well:

It think it depends on the number of characters in the room name.

Room text:             NOT
Centered room name:  Do NOT

If you'd add one character to the room name, it would be half a character longer on both sides:

Room text:             NOT
Centered room name: Do NOT

And it would look like this:

Yeah, it only really works when the amount of characters in the roomname is even but you can always add a space

No, you can't... The space will be deleted. (Why, actually? ???)

Huh? Really? Let me see...
*space gets deleted*
OH DARN.

As for the why, I think XML works similarly to HTML as in it doesn't allow for non-breaking spaces without something like   (Which didn't work when I tried it).

Interesting... :viridian:
Can't you just use another exclamation mark (or any other character)? I think that's what Dav999 did above. However, that isn't adequate in all cases...
Still, when the number of characters in the room-name, you get a shadow effect, even if not so good. It's like the one here, except it doesn't have a different color and the shadow is farther away, which is why it isn't so good: shadow.
