Now here's a math challenge for anyone interested: My new record happens to be the only time greater than 30 seconds where rearranging the digits and adding to the original gives exactly one minute. Can anyone figure out what it is without using a brute force search?

Hmm...that doesn't seem possible to me. The number has to be two digits, so the only way to rearrange the digits is to reverse them. Adding a two digit number to its reverse will always give you numbers like 33, 44, 55 etc, so I don't see how that could equal one minute.

Or...do you mean the digits are added individually? If so, then I think the unique solution is 48 seconds.

The number isn't necessarily an integer—it could be e.g. 31.43.
