V6 Music Editor is a simple tool that allow you to edit in game music with few clicks!

How to use it

Open the editor, select the music archive (vvvvvvmusic.vvv), replace the songs you want to and build the custom archive.
You can also extract the tracks from the music file!

You can get it here (direct link).

Version 1.3:

-Added a patch system.
-Minor bugfixes.

Version 1.2.1:

-Fixed the fix of the music glitch/bug.

Version 1.2:

-Music glitch/bug is finally fixed!  :viridian:
-Added play function.

Version 1.1:

Changed decompilation algorithm: slower but less buggy :P
-Added extract function.
-Minor bugfixes.

Version 1.0:

-Initial release

Keep in mind that...
-This tool is supposed to work on Windows XP and higher, but it was tested only on Windows 7: there is no guarantee that it could work on other windows versions.
-You need .NET Framework 3.5 or higher to run this application (it's already included in windows 7+).
-VVVVVV supports only OGG files, and so does the tool.
-You can't use songs larger than 4gb.

Feel free to ask any question.

Somebody pin this. Good job Cos8o.

In all seriousness, it's really cool to see a tool like this since using bash on windows or a linux VM isn't that user friendly

will temporarily stop being dead to say that this is amazing

Info Teddy

note of caution: songs 0 and 7 improperly loop if mmmmmm.vvv and vvvvvvmusic.vvv exist and vvvvvvmusic.vvv is selected. they properly do not loop if mmmmmm.vvv and vvvvvvmusic.vvv exist and mmmmmm.vvv is selected. they also properly do not loop if only vvvvvvmusic.vvv exists.

Info Teddy

okay, so...

for some reason, this janky editor pads the headers with a bunch of garbage. in an impeccable demonstration of maturity, cos8o decided to use 0x69 (which just translates to the ascii character lowercase i). this means people can encounter problems when using files made from this editor, such as game crashes. earlier today ally got a game crash because she used a music file made with this editor on vvvvvv 2.3.

so don't use this, you should use ved's music editor instead

2.3 should probably have safety checks to deal with this editor's cursed music files much better, but seriously, what the actual fuck
