Beta patch for all major issues + Game pad support [Updated 03-Aug]

Err.. I bought also the non-Steam executable version, did everything said in the first post, but there's no gamepad on  the options.
The only thing I was able to do with my 360 wired Gamepad was seeing the first couple of screens. The pad is recognised, but If I press the directions on the pad I make the text to go on and then (instead of taking control of the character), it makes me to fall deep into the options menu (map etc.).
