But Doing Things the Hard Way was just muscle memory, not mindlessly tapping the up key.
Edge games is also learning the jumping pattern. After you have the rhytm, you can do fish-passes easily.

Edge Games was muscle memory too. You have to time that shit so perfectly, God help you if you don't.

I'm still for DTTHW. Edge Games was fifteen, maybe thirty minutes out of my life.

DDTHW, on the other hand? Five hours. Five fucking hours of me screaming obscenities at my computer screen and pulling at my hair and considering snapping the keyboard in half. And yes, I am properly ashamed to admit that it took me that long. .___.

PJBottomz

You have to exploit a glitch to get it?

...

Didn't Terry say that was bad? :vermillion:

Officer Captain

Edge Games had a pattern?
Oh jeez, don't make me laugh.

Went there, cleared in three tries. Both deaths were at the first set of fish, once I got past it the second came automatically.

I'll let my stats speak for themselves.

Terry

Oh man, yeah, that trinket in Trench Warfare is a nightmare :'(

Sendy

I fear Prize for the Reckless the most. I don't know, it's just the thought of getting to Shenanigans and accidentally hitting one of those checkpoints that are put RIGHT IN THE WAY on CONVEYORS! And then having to work your way back just for the privelege of starting again  :D

Martze

I gifted VVVVVV to a friend of mine recently and he kept me posted on his progress as he went. Do you know what his last trinket was?

A Secret to Nobody. Not even kidding.

If I tell you how my boyfriend played this game for the first time, you're gonna laugh XD
He doesn't play games often but he did liked this game and he actually completed the game with 19 trinkets (and he got Veni Vidi Vici!)  on his first run.
Pretty proud of him to be honest XD

PJBottomz

ON HIS FIRST RUN?! WHAT THE HELL?!?! IT TOOK ME 40 TRIES!

Sophira

I suspect "on the first run" means on the first time of playing the game, not that there were no deaths.

xTwoTails

I think it took him 15 deaths to grab that Trinket.
Funny thing is that the last trinket was very silly, yet he kept dying over and over and over. lol

Gotta go with VVV or Edge Games. Both are notably harder than any of the other trinkets in the game. VVV took me about an hour or so to get, and getting back to Doing Things the Hard Way and accidentally slamming into the spikes on the right hand side made me rage a little.

Prize for the Reckless wasn't too bad. I died a few times but I don't think I ever hit a checkpoint mid-travel, plus most of those deaths were on the first screen after PftR so it didn't take too long.
