Would like to ditch Steam in favor of the AppStore

Hello,

First, I apologize for registering only for a request, but I really hate Steam, and would like to not use it anymore.

Here's my situation:
I bought the Humble Bundle this summer (I tried to pay a reasonable amount :) ), and redeemed a Steam key.
However, I don't use Steam that much, and would like to get the application from the AppStore. I know I can download VVVVVV in a standalone version, but I want to review it on the AppStore, and get updates, and all that cool stuff from there.
Would it please be possible to get a gift code to redeem it on the AppStore, once I prove that I actually own the game? :)

Thanks for your time, and the awesome game!  ;D

Terry

Sure, no problem. Send me an email!

(The app store version is still a bit out of date, though)

Thanks!
You're awesome! :)

EDIT: The email was sent to the address I found on your website under the email tab! :)

Hey, can I use the same logic with the Steam version to just get a DRM-less VVVVVV copy?

Terry

The steam version actually is DRM free! Just copy it out of your steamapps folder whereever you like :)

Really? Thanks, I never knew that!  :viridian:

It's just that I used to share an account with my brother, and now he's gone off to Uni... I'm trying to use his account as little as possible, and transfer everything to mine (already got Portal in a Steam Sale for free!).

Doesn't work for me. Gives me a "Steam Error - Application load error 5:0000065434".

The original flash version was DRM free and the beta patch executable doesn't have DRM, but I belive the one that is currently downloadable from steam does have (and has had it since the c++ port got to the steam) the steam DRM.

Yeah, I'm having the exact same issue  :victoria:
