How about CTF in VVVVVV? Team Viridian and Team Vermillion?
The flags would look like colored trinkets with a stand.
Each team has team-only traps.

How about CTF in VVVVVV?

I think that could actually work, however the programming side of things may be a bit more difficult...
Also, would traps be the only way to kill or make other people drop the flag? I think adding guns or whatever would ruin the game's style, but maybe something like a nitron grenade from tribes: ascend could work nicely?
