Getting the executable to run by itself

I'm trying to get super hexagon to run on an arcade I built, and it seems it won't run if steam isn't running. Is there a way I can solve this? I launch games from a front end which runs emulated games as well, and the nature of the arcade is there is no mouse (and no obvious OS). So if possible, I would like to be able to launch directly into the game, and upon exiting it will go back to the front end.

Thanks!

Terry

Sorry, the game kinda depends on steam right now :( You can install steam on a machine that's not connected to the internet, though, and play the game in offline mode!

(Alternatively, I will eventually be making a steam free version of the game that you can play anywhere.)

Hmm okay I'll try installing steam and see if it works that way...

One more question... I think I just realized there isn't a way to bind specific keys (I thought there was but I think it's just gamepad). Is there a way? If not, is this something that could be added in the future? This game would make a really fun competition game to play at a party on my arcade ;)

Okay tried the steam on the machine thing... didn't really work for whatever reason (maybe because I'm running XP on the machine). I think I'll have to wait for a standalone executable.

I read Steam doesn't support XP service pack 1. Is it possible to update, if you have service pack 1?
