Also, due to the new 3DS version, some people simply can't.
stuff can be updated on the 3DS version, alot of other games have already got patches from the e-shop. unless, nintendo told you that it wouldnt work :(.

Can I see the manual? If it has things like spike data, it looks like it's going to be interesting to read.  :viridian:
no you can not, you must pay Terry 50$ to see it.

VVVVVV / Spike Data

well, after spending 50+ hours counting the spikes in the game, i now know where they all are, and the % of where each one is at.

7612 in all
Space Station - 7.12% (561 spikes)
The Laboratory - 27.32% (2152 spikes)
The Tower - 10.47% (825 spikes)
Space Station 2 - 27.15% (2139 spikes)
The Warp Zone - 6.07% (478 spikes)
The Final Level 13.09% (1031 spikes)
Intermission - 2.88$ (227 spikes)
free space - 5.9% (465 spikes)

37.1% pointing up(2824 spikes), 30.78% pointing down(2343 spikes), 15.95% pointing left(1214 spikes), and 16.17% pointing right(1231 spikes)

i actually thought the game had more, but no, only 7612 spikes...i wonder if someone can make a custom level that has more...

Maybe its when they changed the room name Whee Sports(before the gravitron) to Copyright Infringement.Or did that happen before that got submitted...

Oh, haha - someone noticed :D

We failed submission first time around because of that. It's why we didn't get it out before Christmas like we were aiming to. Oh well.
Wii = Whee (they sound alike) i bet thats why! (Wii sports, get it  :victoria: ?)

also, good name choice when it was changed.

Edit:
final level in Time Trial DOES play the remixed song without backtracking, but only about 2 seconds of it, when it says GO! it resets and goes back to the normal song. i dont have a camera i can plug into my 3DS Headphone jack so i cant record it that way, but use headphones at max volume and you WILL hear the remix before it says GO!.

Frustratingly, this wasn't intended as an "Easter egg" - just a new song for the final level. Somewhere clearly went wrong in the version Nicalis submitted to Nintendo. :victoria:

Hmm. Several people have commented on the youtube page I linked, saying that for them the remix plays for them immediately when they get to the Final Level, so maybe Nicalis quietly put out a fix at some point?
they must mean the main final level, that you go in with normal play. if you play a time trial run of the level, it doesnt play the remix.
the only games from the e-shop that have got updates so far are VC and 3D Classics  :victoria:

i may make a video showing the normal level and the time trial later...

time trial and normal game differences :D!

in the e-shop, it has user ratings of the game.

Quote from:  e-Shop Ratings
total = 656
overall = 5 star game
5 star = 557
4 star = 71
3 star = 18
2 star = 3
1 star = 7 (LOLWUT)

what type of person is it suited for?
15% = Everyone
85% = Gamers

What type of game is it?
10% = Casual Play
90% = Intense Play

as of 11:15 PM (-7 GMT)

pretty damn cool i think. kinda have to laugh at those 7 people that rated it 1 star though.
nice work Terry.

Edit:

Quote from: Software Chart
all user ratings , Nintendo 3DS (download)
1. VVVVVV
2. Pushmo/Pullblox
3. Kid Icarus: Uprising video preview
its the best overall rated game (to download) in the e-shop. even better.

Everything else / Re: Introduce yourself
January 10, 2012, 06:10:22 AM
yo. im seaking177,i knew i forgot to do something, and that was to post here,i like alot of different games, IWTBTG and IWTBTFG can go kill themself.

i LOVE finding glitches in games, like i already have for VVVVVV, a few game breaking non-invisibly glitches.

also, i have a 3DS, and almost all of the 3DSware title besides Mighty Switch Force (pretty much meaning, i have put in over 100$ just in the games alone, from the system iteself).

i dislike getting VC games though :(

Okay, so I'm just playing the game, and randomly the music and SFX switch off. I turn my volume up, that's no use. And then, after a while of playing no-music (which is much worse than it sounds, considering how awesome the soundtrack is), the game just suddenly closes.
this happens after getting a crew, or what?
if it is after getting a crew, how long does it take to make the game close?

this happens on the 3DS version (already made a video) except the game closing part, as far as i know.

i had a friend test the glitches i did on the 3DS on the PC version, and it seems they are there as well. all of the glitches besides the freezing one. he could not make a video, because he says fraps wont work.

seems the 3DS version has the same bugs and glitches as the PC counterpart  :vermillion:

NEVER MIND I WAS WRONG
:viridian:!

i dont see how this game can be played with the analog pad/etc,  because of the Gravitron/super Gravitron rooms. i have tried it with the analog one, and die so fast :(. but for the main game, its not too bad.
