Souleye's talked a bit about this before. As far as I understand it started out as a unintended subconscious influence sorta thing, but he then ended up making a deliberate reference to the song when he spotted the similarity, or something like that.

Ah okay. Not that I would accuse him for copying, I was just a bit wtf when my friend asked me yesterday "Is it another pup track?"

Hey hey!

I haven't played any SF games since SF2 on SNES. That was MANY years ago (it's the same theme though) and I hadn't had that game surface much until after I made the tracks where i subconsciously had some Guile- and Ryu's stage references. Later on I too have realized that yes, it does sound like SF at times, but I'm pretty happy to leave it like this.
