Reset Glitch with Xbox 360 Controller

When I reset by pressing R my Xbox 360 controller will just stop working. The character will just run against the closest wall, I cannot move either direction or flip.

Strangely the keyboard controls still work 100% fine but the pad is just dead. Some help on this would be great because I really love this game but I prefer the Controller to play with.

I am on the newest iMac, 21.5 inch.
Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks)
Using a Wireless 360 Controller

This is currently the only place for it, seeing the tOLP forums are currently down, and it is about VVVVVV, I don't think there's a better place for this...


If you try a similar thing in another game, does the problem also occur?
