Just got the game. Played twice to a teleport to see the game jam. There is a text "A Wrinkle in Time" at the bottom. The guy touches the teleport's rim and shakes his head when tries to move. "Action" button does nothing. The music has been halted.

I can access the menu but otherwise the game is jammed.

Terry

Sounds like the game is trying to create a telesave file, and your system isn't letting it. The game needs at least 1MB to create all the save files!

Boer

Ok. I have some 300 gigs of free space on my Mac's HDD. I doubt lack of space is the issue.

Terry

It's not lack of hard drive space, it's the space you've allowed your system to store flash shared object files - in another thread, you posted this:

Ok, I have a solution that works with Flash Player 10.3. Switch Flash's local storage setting to "allow sites to save information" and launch the game. Should be ok. After that you can switch the setting back your preference and the game still works even when restarted.

If you're switching the preference back after running, the game will crash as soon as it tries to save the game. :victoria:

I thought of this but it did not solve the issue. That is, I switched the Flash setting but the game jams the same. I also tried to run the game with administrative privileges with the same results.

Terry

Huh, strange! When you check the settings on this page, how much space are you setting for storage?

Boer

I had it at zero. I set it to 10 MB and also checked the "allow third-party" setting. Unfortunately this did not have any affect to the issue that I could observe.

Terry

Boer, I looked into this a bit more and discovered there might also be an issue with your "local" website settings. On this page, find the site called "local" and make sure it has at least 100kb also:

I think this is very likely to fix your problem!

Boer

Thank you for trying but I am sorry to say this did not help. The culprit appears to be my Flash: No matter what I set on the manager you linked on your last post, when I go to that tool again it has been reset to zero. I cannot understand why this happens.

I am using Flash Player 10.3.181.26. I have made sure I've selected "Allow sites to save information" on the Flash settings under System Preferences, but still the web-based manager does not allow other settings.

Terry

Oh, very odd! Perhaps you have something running on your computer that disables it?
